External Service Fee Disclaimer

Roofstick integrates with several powerful third-party services to provide advanced functionality such as cloud storage, artificial intelligence, email notifications, and secure payments.

Please note the following important disclaimer regarding the use of these external services:

Third-Party Subscriptions & Usage Fees

The subscription or usage fees for any external or third-party services are NOT included in the product price of Roofstick.

While the source code natively includes the integration logic for these platforms, you are responsible for creating your own accounts, obtaining API keys, and paying any associated costs based on your usage.

Cloud Storage (AWS S3)

The backend is pre-configured to use the AWS SDK (@aws-sdk/client-s3) to store media and property images securely in the cloud.

  • You must create an AWS account and configure your S3 Bucket, Access Key, and Secret Key in the .env file.
  • AWS charges based on storage size and bandwidth (data transfer out).

Artificial Intelligence (Groq API)

Roofstick uses the Groq SDK (groq-sdk) for lightning-fast AI features.

  • You must create a Groq account and provide your API keys.
  • Fees depend on the number of tokens processed (API usage).

Payment Gateways

The application natively supports multiple payment gateways: Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mollie, and SSLCommerz.

  • You must create a merchant account with the respective provider(s) you wish to enable.
  • Each payment provider charges a transaction fee (usually a percentage of the transaction + a fixed amount) which is deducted by the provider automatically.

Email Services

Transactional emails (like account verification and password resets) are sent using nodemailer.

  • You can use any standard SMTP provider (such as SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, or your own cPanel webmail).
  • Some SMTP providers offer a free tier, but high-volume sending will require a paid subscription.
